Safety Report is a detailed document to demonstrate all the necessary measures been taken to prevent major accidents and to limit their consequences to people and the environment. Safety Report is prepared as per Schedule 8 of the Manufacture, Storage and Import of Hazardous Chemicals Rules (MSIHC) Rules 1994 or Schedule 8 of the Control of Industrial Major Accident Hazard Rules.
Objective of the Safety Report is :
- To increase the employer’s responsibility for the safety and health of his employees and the public in the vicinity, by making him more aware of it.
- To provide complete information for the employees.
- To provide complete information for local authorities in charge of the control of major accident hazards.
- To improve/support the factory inspectorates inspection possibilities
The Safety Report is to be the repository of all information about the safe operation of the facility improving its safety.
